Hello, it's been a while since my last blog, but I've been so busy. Working at my other job and getting ready for my upcoming gallery shows. That's right! I have gallery exhibitions scheduled in Chapin, SC; Summerville, SC; Charleston, SC; and Athens, Ga. I'm so excited, but been so busy. I've also had a couple commissions thrown at me that I had to finish very quickly. I'm about to upload several posts so you can see just what I've been working on. Thanks again for following my blog, it means a lot to me. :)

This latest commission is a surprise for a brother's 35th birthday! I'm so excited- it looks even better in person! The brother is a huge Georgia football fan and the picture is an old picture of he and his younger brother at Christmas time. I chose to do an 18 x 24 inch acrylic on canvas. This is the first time I've used hep from a light projector and wow! it sure does save time... I'm working on another surprise for my sister and a friend's birthdays as well and I'll post as those get closer to completion.

Being from South Carolina, I just love marsh and low-country scenes. Originally I was going to put a heron in the picture, but I fell in love with it's calming neutral colors and decided to leave it as is. I'm glad I did.

Check out a fellow Lake Murray water color artist from my home town!
Today I came across a great artist that I just had to link to! Soniei paints very beautiful and peaceful Japanese paintings that look great with everything.

In today's times we are blessed to have access to all kinds of technology and the ability to connect with almost anyone, no matter where they are. On the flipside, it's easy to get lost in all the social networks and online art galleries, ect.
I did manage to stumble upon a really neat website where you can buy cards, prints and even t-shirts directly from the website. Check it out:

Here's the image of the final Rainforest picture that I gave to my client (two hours before my deadline! woot woot!)
I love the green cacti in the picture. They were oddly enough the last plants I worked on and I wasn't sure how they'd turn out.
I'm still not 100% sure I'm finished. In the inspiration picture there were some white flowers, that I omitted and I'm not sure if I should add them in I decided to take a week off and work on some others pictures to clear my mind.
